The piece flowed like unintended poetry and I decided to title it “Unscripted”

Lately, I have once again had that “itch”- almost like a gnawing sensation – to thrust the entangled thoughts inside my head out on paper (or in this case in print) with the hopes that they will unravel. I have found the issue to be that I have too many things I want to say that I simply do not know where to start. I know I eventually want to write books but what about? Self help? Fiction? My life? I also have an issue with overthinking as you can see (and as do most people) So for now, I am just going to write when ever I feel that “itch” that “gnaw”. I am going to write what ever is in my head at that particular moment. It may not have a structure at first. It may just be a sentence here and there, but it is a start.

I can’t begin to count the number of people who have told me they want to be writers, but don’t know how

Reading is fun and I think it’s part of writing. It’s educational, and inspirational. It lets you connect with other people and places who never existed, possibly never could never exist. But that’s what writing is about, isn’t it? I know there are other ways to connect. You can Zoom, Facetime, and Skype. You can connect via email, telephones, even actual written letters though that has become a rarity, even for those of us who otherwise can’t stop writing. As long as there are computers, printers, and books, life goes on.

I just love the getting thoughts out of my head and onto paper

There are so many ways writing can help us to make sense of the world, our thoughts, events, emotions. Getting all that junk out of your head can really help us to let go of cyclic thoughts or emotions we feel trapped in. Writing can also help to motivate us and bring more happiness into our day. It can be a way of creating, communicating and sharing. Writing can do so much and the physical process of putting pen to paper, making intangible ideas concrete, can create magic.

A fan can be defined as an individual who is a part of a community built around a shared enjoyment of an aspect of popular culture, such as books, movies, TV shows, bands, sports etc.

Hi my name is Emily and I’m a professional fangirl. Okay, now that I have come clean let me give you an insight into fandoms and fan studies, the topic this week for BCM110!
