I’ve been trying to write this first post for the better part of a year
I think that posting will help me to become a better writer
By taking the risk of putting my work out there, I learned that people actually liked what I was creating
When I started the blog I quickly found that it was a satisfying way to connect with actual people
Every good writer reads books
Our minds are always imagining, analyzing, and formulating on how to come up with a story that stands out
Showing parents what they need to do to make sure their kid is sun safe but still having fun
I get side tracked within my own thoughts and end up stressing myself out
It’s important to me to make a good first impression

Unlike […] younger equivalents of a shackled Katherine, adult me could continue to push for what I wanted
As a teenager and young adult, I wanted to be a writer [but] it became apparent that I did not have the dedication or talent to become a published author
[Stories] have been told through the generations and because they focus on human emotions and failings they are as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago
I want someone who can handle my chaos without trying to shrink it
I was trying to convince myself I was happy, that I was where I wanted to be, where I should be — despite every instinct in my body telling me otherwise
I always wanted to create a space for people like me
I want to have companions but I’ll go it alone if the time calls for it
I merely wanted to learn how to build my own website
My children were young, and I wanted to be around when they grow up
Shouldn’t the deepest longing (want) in my heart be for the one thing I need most?
