I have learnt that authenticity is key. If I try to put on a ‘writers’ hat’ then this loses the credibility of my writing and therefore loses the engagement of the reader. At the start of the module, my work was overwritten with excessive details and phrases that I would put in to make myself sound sophisticated, which often had the opposite effect. My writing was cluttered and in parts did not make sense because of these phrases I was trying to add in.

  1. It also helps to hear your own work, as read by a narrator. Have you thought about getting some of your writing narrated? I’m currently offering free services on select projects.     1. Your voice is very smooth 🙂 I listened to a little bit of the 4th one ( cmwellerblog ), but when you did the German accent reading (“Mein Vater”), you should have pronounced the “V” as an “f” sound… and since you didn’t do that, I decided to stop. O_O
